The association Piacé le radieux, Bézard – Le Corbusier presents from 27th to 29 June 2014 the 6th edition of the Quinzaine Radieuse : a special edition, concentrated over 3 days including concerts, performances, a contemporary art exhibition («Commissariat pour un arbre» showing over 100 nest boxes by artists, designers and architects), a french bowling competition and a workshop. An eclectic, original and experimental programme, once again mixing disciplines and throughout the entire village of Piacé (Sarthe).

With Bertrand Belin, La Chatte, Le Verdouble, Xavier Plumas, La Clique de Piacé, Daniel & Noé Nadaud, Bob Corn, Neal Beggs, Emilie Nicot, Lonesome French Cowboy, Drum Drum, Charles Pennequin, David Michael Clarke & Friends, Andrea Crews, Burning Vogue, Francesco Finizio, DJ FM.

For the opening, Friday 27th June, the scene will have accents of folk and rock with two concerts: Bob Corn, Italian singer-songwriter, who describes himself as a « sad punk » followed by Xavier Plumas, leader of the group «Tue-Loup», who are based in the Sarthe. He will play songs from his new album, «Les curiosités vaudou du cabinet d’Adèle».

Saturday starts at 16h00 with two concerts in the Church: a recital by Emilie Nicot, mezzo-soprano who sings contemporary compositions «Soliloquies» a capella, followed by a session by Verdouble, an experimental hurdy-gurdy duo. Then will come performances, and more musical sets on the «Flying Black Cow Club Trailer Stage» specially conceived by the artist David Michael Clarke with students from the fine art school in Le Mans. Visual artists (Neal Beggs, Daniel et Noé Nadaud, Francesco Finizio), architects (Drum Drum), performers (Charles Pennequin) and the Clique de Piacé have been invited to play in a convivial manner over lunch. For the evening, there will be two more concerts, a bit more «punchy» : Lonesome French Cowboy and La Chatte, and then the return of Burning Vogue, fire of joy celebrating the cutting of the hay and the summer solstice.

The bowling competition will take place on Sunday afternoon and then for the finalé, a concert by the elegant Bertrand Belin, who will deliver the final concert of his current tour.

During the 3 days, a workshop «Pin-hole Tent» will be run by the photographer Patrick Galais and an exhibition of small sculptures «Commissariat pour un arbre #5», curated Mathieu Mercier, will be installed throughout the village.
